COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear Valued Customers,

During these uncertain times, a number of our customers are experiencing challenges within their supply chain and PJ’s are here to help as much as possible. We have implemented our business continuity plan which will reduce some of the interruption if these events are to escalate further (such as staff having access to work from home to continue communications with our customers).

For the most part we have found that it is business as usual in Australia however as more countries are affected, some disruption will be unavoidable and the below show a few examples;

·        There are currently no flights being accepted into Milan, Rome, Barcelona, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf and most of these have been suspended until the 31st May 2020 which is affecting some of our export airfreight.

·        There has been a significant reduction in inward airfreight and cancelled passenger flights which is affecting the remaining air cargo capacity and the rates being charged to us.

·        Many seafreight carriers have been announcing blank sailings and the activity at a number of ports in China are reduced however most ports are back to normalised operations. We will be expecting space issues in the coming month as the cargo volume increases.

As part of our business continuity plan and as PJ’s work in line with the current government guidelines to contain the COVID-19 virus spread, PJ’s have asked that our drivers sign all PODS at site on behalf of the recipient to reduce unnecessary contact.

We also ask anyone that visits our office to use the hand sanitiser provided and allow our receptionist to sign you in.

If you require any further information on the above, please contact us on;

We thank you for your continuing support.

The Team at PJ’s.
